Trim Levels (Exterior)
The 2022 Toyota C-HR comes available in three distinct trim levels: XLE, Nightshade Edition, and Limited. On the XLE and Nightshade Edition, you can enjoy multi-reflector LED headlights with auto on and off features. With the Limited trim level, there are LED projector low- and high-beam headlights that have an auto level control, Adaptive Front-Lighting System (AFS), and Automatic High Beams (AHB) that have an auto-off feature. Each trim level has washer-linked variable intermittent windshield wipers and washer-linked intermittent rear wipers. They also each have a rear window defogger for those foggy or cold driving days.
Engine (Power)
Underneath the hood of these cars, you'll find the same engine, which is the 2.0-liter four-cylinder DOHC 16-valve with the Valvematic and 144 horsepower. Each trim aligns with the California Air Resources Board (CARB) because it's an ultra-low emissions vehicle, so you can feel good about driving it frequently. The transmission is a Continuously Variable Transmission with intelligence and Shift Mode for you to use.
Performance
In each trim, you can enjoy the front-wheel-drive setting, which allows you to get better gas mileage as you drive. The suspensions in this car are the Independent MacPherson strut front suspension with a stabilizer bar, coil springs, and hydraulic shock absorbers. There's also a multi-link rear suspension with coil springs, trailing arms, stabilizer bar, and hydraulic shock absorbers. Enjoy electric-powered steering with a minimum turning radius of 17.1 feet. As for the brakes, this car has power-assisted brakes, which are ventilated front discs and solid rear discs. You also have three driving modes: sport, normal, and eco.
Interior
Inside the vehicle, you'll find a beautiful leather-trimmed shift lever with a satin-plated shift knob and a useful center armrest with a 12V power outlet. In all three trim levels, there's a Smart Key System on the front doors and the rear hatch with a Push Button Start, complete with a remote illuminated entry. You can also enjoy a remote keyless entry system with lock, unlock, and panic functions and power windows with one-touch auto up and down in all positions. If you're looking for a car with storage options, the C-HR has passenger-side glove compartments and front-door storage pockets.
Safety Features
There are several safety features for you to enjoy and make sure you and your passengers are safe while out on the road. The car comes equipped with 10 air bags throughout. Some features included in the 2022 Toyota C-HR are a driver's sand front passenger's seatbelt warning system, an integrated backup camera, and child protection locks in the rear. In each trim level, there's the Toyota Safety Sense, a blind spot monitor, and the tire pressure monitor system that tells you when your tire pressure is too low by alerting you with a light on the instrument panel.
