2022 Toyota GR Supra
The Supra rejoined the Toyota lineup a few years ago and continues to impress drivers with its performance. This sports car has a unique personality, an upscale, sporty cabin, and comes with the latest safety and tech features. For the 2022 model year, the Supra gains the new A91-CF limited-edition trim with a carbon fiber body kit and rear spoiler. Also for 2022, the 3.0 model now comes standard with heated seats, and the 3.0 Premium has a red color scheme in the cabin.
Trim Levels (Exterior)
The Supra lineup starts with the 2.0. It has 18-inch alloy 10-spoke wheels, dual rear exhaust outlets with stainless steel tips, and an aerodynamic underbody panel. The 3.0 adds an adaptive variable sport suspension, brushed stainless steel exhaust tips, and an active rear sport differential. Step up to the 3.0 Premium for Brembo brakes with red calipers, or look at the A91-CF Edition for carbon fiber side rocker panels, a carbon fiber duckbill rear spoiler, and 19-inch alloy twin-spoke wheels.
Engine (Power)
Power for the GR Supra comes from a 2.0-liter single turbo four-cylinder gas engine that puts out 255 horsepower and gets 295 pound-feet of torque. The 3.0, 3.0 Premium, and the A91-CF have a 3.0-liter twin-scroll single-turbo six-cylinder with 382 horsepower. It uses an 8-speed transmission with paddle shifters. All Supras come with rear-wheel drive.
Perfromance
The Supra is a performance machine designed for drivers who enjoy the feeling of instant acceleration that's strong enough to set you back against the seat as soon as you step on the gas. The four-cylinder has the punch most drivers are looking for in a sports car, and the six-cylinder cuts down the zero to 60 speed from five seconds to four.
Interior
The Supra's cabin has room for two, and everything in the small space has a purpose. The 2.0 has black Alcantara leather-trimmed sport seats with deep bolstering to keep you in place and carbon fiber trim elements. Step up to the 3.0 for 14-way power-adjustable seats and a driver's seat memory function or the 3.0 Premium for heated seats and sport pedals. The A91-CF has exclusive red and black upholstery.
There's an 8.8-inch high-resolution digital display in front of the driver, an 8.8-inch center display screen, and a four-speaker stereo system. Apple CarPlay comes standard along with satellite radio and a USB port. The 3.0 adds a 14-speaker stereo system, and the 3.0 Premium comes with a 12-speaker JBL stereo, a wireless version of Apple CarPlay, and integrated navigation. It also comes with a wireless phone charger.
Safety Features
Every Supra GR comes standard with advanced safety features such as frontal collision warning, automatic braking, lane-keep assist, and pedestrian detection. It also comes standard with automatic high beam headlights, lane steering assist, and speed limit sign recognition. The Safety and Technology Package is an available option for the 2.0 and 3.0 models. It adds front and rear parking sensors, adaptive cruise control, and a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-path detection. The Driver Assist Package adds these features to the Premium and the A91 Edtion.
