Performance
There's no lacking in the performance for the 2022 Toyota Highlander, as each trim level offers different driving modes for you to explore. In the Hybrid XLE, the driving modes are sport, eco, and normal, the EV mode. If you choose the XLE trim, the driving modes are sport, eco, normal, and snow modes, plus the multi-terrain select with mud, sand, rock, and dirt modes. The Hybrid LE offers sport, eco, normal, EV, and trail modes.
Interior

Safety Features

Toyota gives all the trims a Blind Spot Monitor (BSM) with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert (RCTA) and the Toyota Safety Sense, which includes Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection and Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist.
In the XLE, Toyota installed the Star Safety System. The Hybrid LE and the Hybrid XLE also come equipped with the Star Safety System, but with the additional feature of Electronically Controlled Braking. Throughout the vehicle, there are eight air bags, including seat-mounted side air bags and front passenger seat-cushion air bags.
