2023 Toyota GR Supra

The 2023 Toyota GR Supra is a sports car sold in three trim levels, which are 2.0 (base), 3.0 AT, and 3.0 MT. Toyota also offers a special edition model called the A91-MT, although it will only sell 500 of them in the U.S. The GR Supra showcases a bold body style with an elongated front end, rounded curves from front to back, and a large front grille flanked by aerodynamic air intakes.

With the base 2.0 model, standard exterior equipment includes 18-inch alloy wheels with a dual-tone finish, LED lighting, and glossy black heated and auto-folding side mirrors with tilting functionality on the passenger side and auto-dimming functionality on the driver's side. On the rear of the vehicle, you'll also notice dual exhaust outlets with polished stainless-steel tips. Both the 3.0 AT and 3.0 Premium trims tack on a few styling enhancements, including matte black mirrors with a memory function, brushed stainless steel exhaust tips, and larger 19-inch Frozen Gunmetal Gray wheels.

The standard engine on the base model is a 2.0-liter twin-scroll single-turbo four-cylinder engine rated at 255 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. It works with an eight-speed automatic transmission that sends power to the rear wheels. But if you want your GR Supra to fly around the track or along every road, it's worth upgrading to the 3.0-liter turbocharged twin-scroll V-6 unit. It comes standard on both the 3.0 trims. This engine makes 382 horsepower and 368 pound-feet of torque.

Toyota also added a six-speed manual transmission as an option for the 2023 model year. It's only available with the 3.0 AT and 3.0 Premium trim, although it's a no-cost upgrade.

Although both engines perform well, the V-6 is more powerful than the base unit, delivering speedy acceleration. In speed testing, the vehicle rocketed to 60 mph in just 3.7 seconds. Along with its speed, the GR Supra boasts properly weighted and direct steering, making this car downright fun to drive.

With a new driving mode, known as Hairpin+, drivers can make extra-tight turns with ease. This mode allows for additional wheelspin on one of the vehicle's rear tires. Every GR Supra includes a one-year membership to the National Auto Sport Association, along with a free day at a high-performance driving event.

This two-seater offers a little extra headroom, thanks to the double-bubble roof design. Standard interior features include manually adjustable sport seats, leather upholstery, carbon-fiber trim, dual-zone automatic climate control, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. On the tech side, you also get a four-speaker audio system with an 8.8-inch touch screen. A premium JBL sound system, upgraded touchscreen, and wireless device charging are available options. Upgraded comfort features on the higher trims include power-adjustable heated seats and sport pedals.

All GR Supra vehicles include a pre-collision system, lane-departure warning, rearview camera, automatic high beams, and brake assist. You can also add the Driver Assist package, which bundles lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, and adaptive cruise control.
