2023 Toyota Sequoia
The 2023 Toyota Sequoia is a full-size truck that offers three spacious rows, a long list of advanced standard driver aids, and a well-equipped base trim. The SUV receives exterior and interior updates for the 2023 model year, as well as a new standard hybrid powertrain.
Trim Levels ( Exterior)
The new Sequoia is available in attractive exterior colors such as Solar Octane, Army Green, Lunar Rock, and Wind Chill Pearl. You can choose from five trims: the SR5, Limited, Platinum, TRD Pro, and Capstone.
The base trim offers an abundance of premium standard features, which include heated and power-folding mirrors with turn-signal indicators, 18-inch alloy wheels, LED exterior lighting, LED fog lights, and a power moonroof. The Limited trim comes with chrome-plated roof rails and 20-inch machine-alloy wheels. With the Platinum trim, you receive LED taillights with sequential turn signals and rain-sensing wipers.
Apart from a dual-tip exhaust, the TRD Pro trim is equipped with 18-inch alloy wheels with TRD center caps and LED marker lights. The top-of-the-range Capstone trim offers automatic power-extending running boards and 22-inch alloy wheels.
Engine (Power)
The new standard hybrid powertrain consists of a turbocharged V-6 engine that's paired with a hybrid system. It produces an output of 437 horsepower and 583 pound-feet of torque. A 10-speed automatic transmission sends power to the rear wheels, except on the TRD Pro trim, which comes standard with a four-wheel-drive system. Four-wheel drive is available for all other trims as well.
Performance
The all-new body and frame of the Sequoia are made from lightweight and high-strength materials, which make for a capable and strong performance, especially while off-roading. An available Multi-Terrain Select system provides a safer and more comfortable driving experience when driving on rougher terrain or slippery surfaces by automatically adjusting the engine throttle and traction control. You can choose from five drive modes for enhanced performance in various driving conditions.
Interior
The cabin of the new Sequoia features quality materials and more soft-touch points. Both rear and front passengers receive ample headroom and legroom, and the seats are comfortable and supportive. The rear cargo area offers 22.3 cubic feet of space, which you can expand to a maximum of 86.9 cubic feet by folding the rear seats down.
Except for the base trim, all trims now boast a standard 14-inch infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, SiriusXM, and a 14-speaker JBL system.
The base trim is impressively equipped with standard features such as an auto-dimming rearview mirror, three-zone automatic climate control, and power-adjustable and heated front seats. Opting for a higher trim will unlock an even more luxurious experience. Available features range from leather upholstery to heated and ventilated seats to a 10-inch head-up display.
Safety Features
The Sequoia will help keep you safe on the road with an expansive range of standard driver-assist systems. Apart from blind-spot monitoring and front-collision warning, standard features include adaptive cruise control, parking assist with automatic braking, lane departure warning, and lane tracing assist. You also receive road sign assist and automatic high beams as standard gear.
