The park rents beach chairs and umbrellas, snack food and picnic supplies are available, and the lifeguards are on duty from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.

There is a bay-themed playground, picnic spots, and restrooms with showers close to the beach. Take your fishing gear, cast your line from the designated fishing section of the beach or the jetty, or use the crabbing and fishing pier in the marina area. Sandy Point State Park is at 1100 East College Parkway and is open daily from 7 a.m. to dusk.
