1. A Maritime Lifestyle
Known as the sailboat capital of the world, boating is engrained in the culture of this city. Sailboat races, lighthouse tours, cruises, and other water activities are popular. 4. Plenty of Commuting Options
Annapolis is within easy reach of both Baltimore and Washington, D.C., both of which are about 27 miles away. There are three airports nearby: Baltimore-Washington International, Washington National Airport, and Washington Dulles. There are also various local transit options, including the Annapolis Circulator trolley and public transportation services offered by Annapolis Transit.
5. Mild Weather
Winters in Annapolis are fairly mild, and the weather is often sunny year-round. Residents of this city are able to experience all four seasons, none of which is too extreme.
6. Ample Shopping Venues
There are three large shopping complexes in Annapolis. Westfield Annapolis, which is also referred to as the Annapolis Mall, offers a great array of nationally known retailers. The Annapolis Towne Center is a complex with both retail, dining, and residential units. When you stop in, you won’t want to miss Baltimore Coffee & Tea. The Annapolis Harbor Center features specialty shops.
